On the following pages are prayer requests from your representatives at work in the Lord's mission around the world. Also included are the names of those who are celebrating birthdays. Please remember each of them in your daily prayers.

Pray for the team of Anne Schutte, Susan Clave and Paul Mowrey as they work in new outreach in Novosibirsk through Bible studies, English classes, Sunday school and other family programs.

Pray that the Gospel will be faithfully brought to people in Japan, reaching past the cultural barriers that stand so firmly in the way of its acceptance. Praise God for the baptism of Kazuya.

Pray for the faith of the LCN Ekajuk lay preachers, that they serve with integrity and diligence. Pray also for Sherri's continued healing while on home leave.

Pray that the home room teachers at Concordia Middle School will be positive role models, demonstrating the love of Christ to their students.

Praise God for the support and prayers for the Auger family during nine years of ministry in Guatemala. Thank Him that Christ's love is obvious in the lives of so many, especially our Cakshiquel friends in Santiago Zamora.

Pray for St. Michael's in St. Petersburg, that God continues to guide all decisions, sacred and secular, and that the work may grow and prosper as members share the Good News.

Praise God that the church in Kabalaysaon has begun worship services. Pray that the other two "infant" churches will soon find leaders for regular worship. Pray also for our safety, especially while we travel, for we have had several mishaps with the horses lately as the "roads" deteriorate from the rains.

Pray for health and strength for the children: Siri, Jason and Sarah. Pray for Siri to grow spiritually; Jason to complete correspondence courses; and Sarah to reach her goals in class, music and running.

Praise God for the shipments of Bibles, "Portals of Prayers Sunday school materials and other pamphlets for distribution to customs inspectors, postal workers, store clerks and others who read and study them very carefully.

Randy and Jennie Duncan, Detroit, Michigan
Praise God for the gift of 2,800 pounds of steak from a meat distributing company. Through our ministry to Muslims, the meat was distributed at an Arab refugee center in Dearborn, Mich., as a witness to God's power and mercy.

Pray for God's blessing on our work in Fukushima. Pray also that Midori Mizuno and Junko Watanabe, interested in becoming Christians, are supported by their parents.

Pray for the students at Concordia Middle School, that they understand the Gospel message and recognize their need for it in their own lives. Pray for Sharon, a Christian teacher at Concordia, that her witness will bring many students and fellow teachers to Christ.

Praise God that our house is finished. No internal walls, but an indoor bathroom (with walls). Pray for the people of Sabangan, who have started Bible classes, that Christ may draw these people to Himself.

Praise God for Luis Coronado, the Venezuelan pastor of Fuente de Vida, and for the 100-plus children who daily hear the Word of God at Martin Luther Preschool. Pray also for Cathy as she prepares to "home school our boys.

Pray that God blesses the Rockrohr family with good health as they deal with added mission responsibilities, and the Heiney and Kunkel families as they prepare for new ministries. Help them identify places and gifts for new work.

Pray for "nurse" Cindy as she helps people who live and work at and around the city dump, providing immunizations, treating upper respiratory infections, prenatal care, etc. at the clinic.

Pray for my student, Mrs. Kawai, whose husband died suddenly of a heart attack at age 35, and for their two children. Pray also for my friend, Sakiko, as she continues her search for meaning in life.

Pray for wisdom and strength for the leaders of the Lutheran Church of Ghana, especially for President Paul Fynn and the Board of Directors. Pray for Vicar Samuel, his wife and five children, that God gives them good health and firm faith.

Pray for wisdom and understanding as we work in the Nasuan Development Center, working with ELGC personnel, LCMS missionaries and LCMS World Relief, to formulate a program for growth in Ghana. Praise God for the openness of people to learn new ways of farming.
