On the following pages are prayer requests from your representatives at work in the Lord's mission around the world. Also included are the names of those who are celebrating birthdays. Please remember each of them in your daily prayers.

Michael and Cathy Tansy, Venezuela
Praise God for the nine Venezuelan youth who attended the LCMS Youth Gathering in San Antonio. Praise God for the planting of a daughter congregation in Core Ocho; for the 12 people studying to be confirmed; and for the first three church services averaging 15 in attendance. Roland and Janet Meyle, Kazakhstan
Pray for wisdom and stamina for Dr. John Doyle, Professor Berchem, Roland Meyle and the medical and dental personnel directly involved in the new Concordia Mission Society medical-dental clinic van and for the local volunteers who staff the clinic for two-weeks at a time.
Bill and Martha Autry, Liberia
Our greatest need is your continued prayers for our Liberian people and peace for this war-torn country. Birthdays: Frederick Otten, Brazil; Anthony Steinbronn, Botswana.
Erhart and Anita Bauer, Jamaica
Pray that God will raise up people to serve as part of a Jamaican core leadership team and add to the number of our four small Bible study groups. Praise Him also for the valuable two months of volunteer assistance given by Ralph and Jeanette Stensland. Birthday: Tim Miller, Thailand.
John and Jeanette Eggert, Papua New Guinea
Pray for Nissiam Watato, Nyekeame Dani and Pilyi Lipa, wives of Timothy Seminary teachers, as they lead Bible studies for a group of 15 to 25 women. Birthday: Ruth Kempff, Venezuela.
Carl and Debbie Rockrohr, Ghana
Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our faithful church leaders as they encourage the people in the Word. Praise God for our current good health. Birthday: Dan Kunkel, Ghana; Ted Kuster, Kazakhstan; Morris Olsen, Russia.
James and Liisa Tino, Venezuela
Praise God that members are taking "ownership" of their new congregation in Barquisimeto. Pray for Jesus Franco, who is trying to motivate the congregation to form cottage Bible study groups to meet in the homes of members each month. Birthday: Gary Schulte, Togo.
Brad and Genevieve Ermeling, Japan

Pray for the success of pre-evangelism meetings in the villages of Pong-Pong, Eliyan and Bantalaan, and that new Bible studies will be started in each village.
John and Susan Mehl, Russia
Pray that the Lord would grant us wisdom that we do nothing to hinder the Gospel in our outreach ministry. Praise God that four of the five ESL teachers intend to return next year, lending continuity and experience to the "volunteer programs" in Moscow.
Bob and Gerri Jennings, Ghana

Bob and Donna Selle, Venezuela
The church in Venezuela is planning a nationwide evangelism campaign under the theme "Venezuela, Christ Is Calling You." Pray for the protection of church workers from Satanic attack during the campaign and that many souls will be won for the Lord.
Everett find Sue Fine, Nigeria
Pray for Aliju Ababukar, a new evangelist who recently converted from Islam. Problems have plagued him as his wife filed for divorce, his oldest son was killed in an auto accident, and he is an outcast in his own village. Pray for strength, love and wisdom for this new believer. Birthday: Edmund Auger, formerly Guatemala; Susan Gonzales, Puerto Rico.
Scott find Stephanie Peterson, China
Pray that the Lord will use our pastor to lead many more Chinese to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and that more Christians in China accept training as full-time lay leaders. Birthday: David Maack, Air Force chaplain.

Pray that God will see us through the transitional changes when Dr. Henry Rowold spends nine months each year teaching at Concordia Seminary, St Louis, and three months here in China. Pray that God will provide the five teachers needed to carry out the teaching program of English as a Second Language. Pray that God will raise up volunteer youth ministers to serve in Japan and Taiwan. Pray for pastors Schimizu and Shitan, Susan Strom and me, that God would help us to be good English instructors.

Pray for the success of Christian Academy of Guatemala in recruiting talented, committed teachers and administrators. Pray for Gennadii, Max, llya, Prima and Moscow State University professors that the Gospel will continue to prosper in their lives. Pray for the Christian Mercy Society, homes for runaway girls and prostitutes, and for the soup kitchen that provides meals for more than 400 people daily. Pray that churches applying for VYM placement each year pledge their wholehearted support for their "volunteer" worker. Pray also that the Lord would guide all decisions made by the VYM director and various councils. Birthday: Carl Selle, East Lansing, Mich.

Pray for the leaders in the Cakchiquel Indian church of Santiago Zamora, Guatemala, as they develop their own pastoral leadership. Pray for wisdom in making decisions about the final form of the Gokana New Testament and in choosing the place and method for its most efficient publication. Pray for our children, Hannah and Susanne, to continue to do well in school.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will be present in our Bible studies and in the hearts of our participants, especially Anatoli, who is ethnically Jewish.
